NOL technology latest clinical outcomes

Medasense announces positive results from clinical studies, evaluating the role of NOL technology in guiding opioid administration during surgery for improved outcomes.

The leading study, led by Professor Albert Dahan and his team from Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) in The Netherlands, showed that using the NOL technology significantly reduced by 30% opioid-consumption and improved hemodynamic stability by reducing 80% of hypotensive events during surgery.

A second study, led by Professor Patricia Lavand’homme and colleagues from the Université Catholique de Lovain in Belgium, showed that NOL values during surgery correlated with post-operative pain levels, authors concluded: NOL may predict early and longer-term postoperative pain.
